
Description
Marlik is an ancient site near Roudbar in Gilan, Northern Iran, Persia.
This rare bronze beaker (c. 1400–800 BCE) is decorated in relief with stylized horses framed by geometric bands. Excavated examples from Marlik were elite grave goods, reflecting the artistry and symbolism of early Iranian metalwork. The piece has a rich green patina and remains a striking artifact of Persia’s Iron Age.
